GDSN Connectivity

The Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) is a network of suppliers, retailers, and data pools that allows the exchange of item information globally via the Internet. It defines a common and modular set of attributes, a set of business messages, and a messaging choreography.

EU/1169 Data Model
The EU/1169 and the Healthcare data models have built-in support for GDSN and allow you to connect to a GDSN certified data pool, thereby participating in the network. Both EU/1169 and Healthcare are available free of charge in the Data Model Exchange.

As a prerequisite you need a Global Location Number (GLN) and a Machine to Machine (M2M) connection to a GDSN data pool.
